Pseudo Sophisti-Conceited?

Yes, it makes no sense. The blog title, which has stuck with me for the better part of two decades, was a folly, created in my youth while brainstorming with a dear and brilliant college friend. Pseudo Sophisti-Conceit is a very LA syndrome. You see people at the health food store, the gym, at parties, the car wash, etc. They think they are clever, read the right columns, go to indie films, vote for the best candidate, follow their health regimens, eat "ethnic", generally look great, wear all the right accessories and yet, despite their efforts and intentions, don't get the greater "it". All the while, they look down on the rest of "us" or "them", as it were, who also think we are making some sort of contribution to ourselves and society.

Thank you Scott for the inspiration and equally twisted perspective. I hope you are well, wherever you are.

Outward Intro

It just occurred to me to actually begin a blog about my lifetime of musings and choice people encountered along the path to wherever all this leads.

For now, it suits to know that from the random brainwave to the internet ether, the platform has been erected.

When the time is right, I will return, possibly with a glass of red something, and muse away.
